The special atmosphere of the movie is created by the music of Andrei Sigle, who used huge, intricately shaped metal sheets attached to frames, which he saw at an avant-garde art exhibition (they were called sound sculptures). He also used a Tibetan flute for the musical theme of prayer and renunciation. Along with the floods of water that endlessly fall in the frames, the music produces a strange and utterly compelling mood.
