 Andrey Sigle was born in Ghorky on 15th of May, 1964 and the Sigle moved to Leningrad the same year. Andrey started to study music since he was 5.

After Andrey had graduated from the Rimskogo-Korsakova music college he entered Conservatory in the name of Rimsky-Korsakov, piano class (studio of Ms. Zarukina). He was invited by the head of Sweden Royal Academy to study the profession of a film music composer, which became the unique precedent in Russia.

In the mid of 80th he became keen on sequencers, and other instruments which allow to imitate the sounds of the philharmonic orchestra. Andrey participated in recording of the albums for such music groups like «Kino», «Alisa», «Nautilus-Pompilius», and also projects for solo by Sergey Kurehin and Boris Grebenshikov. He worked as an arranger, sound designer for these albums.

He also worked as a composer together with Victor Tsoi and «Kino» at the creation of «Igla» («The Spire») (1988), «Sobachye serdtse» («The Dog’s Heart») (1988), took part in the project named «Posetitel museya»(«The Visitor in the Museum») by Konstantin Lopushanskiy, the composer is Alfred Schnitke (1989).

Andrey made his debut as a film music composer after the shooting of «Klesh»
(«The Tick» 1990), produced by Alexander Baranov and Bahit Kalibaev. This project had become a turning point in his career and from that moment Andrey started to compose music for motion pictures only.

Among his works are:
«Sensation» by Boris Gorlov, «Koleso lubvi»(«The Wheel of Love») by Ernest Yasan, «Poslednee delo Varenogo» («The last affair by Vareniy») by Vitaly Melnikov, «Prohindiada-2» by Alexander Kaliagin, «Russian Symphony» by Konstantin Lopushansky, «Chetirnadtsat tsvetov radugi» («The Fourteen Colors of Rainbow») by Dmitry Svetozarov.

Andrey Sigle became the composer of the first Russian serial named «Ulitsi razbitih fonarey» («The Streets of Broken Lights»).
In 1998-2000 he composed for television series «Agent natsionalnoy bezopasnosti» («The Agent of National Security»), «Po imeni Baron» («Named Baron»).

The new turn was marked with the projects «Telets» («The Taurus»), «Otets i sin» («The Father and The Son»), «Solntse» («The Sun») where he worked in common with Alexander Sokurov, Russian producer. These projects were awarded a lot of prizes at the international film festivals including film was national awards of cinema press and critics – White Elephant - 2005, analogue of Golden Globe Awards in US for Best film, Best director (Alexander Sokurov), Best music.

Andrey Sigle is a film composer and a producer of this project.

A.S.D.S. Cine Production Company was established in 2002 by Andrey Sigle and Russian producer Dmitry Svetozarov. The serial «Tantsor» («The Dancer»), «Tri tsveta lubvi» («Three colors of Love») were released by this studio. «Nastoiashie menti» («The true Cops»), «Favorsky», «Boar» are successfully completed.
Proline-film Studio was established by Andrey Sigle in 2004. This studio is specialized in feature films. «The Sun» by Alexander Sokurov (Nikola-film in common) was presented at the 55th Anniversary International Berlin Film Festival, «Gadkie lebedi» («The ugly swans») by Konstantin Lopushansky are under production at the moment.

In 2005 was finished work on film «Ugly swans», the premiere of which is supposed to be on one of national film festivals in 2006.

Andrey Sigle is a co-producer of French-Russian project «Serko» (together with CDP Studio, producer Catherine Dussart) by producer Joel Farge. The opening night is planned took a place on March of 2006. Andrey Sigle was awarded a prestigious prize for «The best music» in the «Udalenniy dustup» feature film («The Remote Access» by Svetlana Proskurina) at Kinotavr cinema festival 2005, Sochi.

A present Proline-film cinema studio is starting to work on new project produced by Sokurov Alexandra. The shooting of the film is planned on July – August of 2006.

Further followed films “Ugly swans” by Konstantin Lopushansky cinematized by a novel of Strugacky’s brothers, «Serko» of Joel Farges (with French studio CDP). In 2007 at the one of international A-class film forums there will be an opening night of a new film studio’s project a film of Alexander Sokurov “Alexandra” starring Galina Vishnevskaya. Currently there goes on a work with a film of Sergey Ovcharov «Cherry Orchard» in the studio.
Almost in all projects of his studios Andrey Sigle is a director and a composer. Though he writes music not only to his own projects but to those, which, at his own opinion, develop russian author’s cinematography.
Creativity of Andrey Sigle was awarded time and again. For the music to films «Remote access» of Svetlana Prodkurina and «Ugly Swans» of Konstantin Lopushansky in Sochi at the “Kinotavr” festival he was awarded as the best composer.
At the award ceremony “White elephant-2006” he received an award for the film “The Sun”. At the many Russian and foreign festivals there was special mention of Andrey Sigle as director, who develops author’s cinematography.
In February 2007 Andrey Sigle was awarded as an Honoured Art Worker of Russian Federation.
