Russian film “ALEXANDRA” enters the competition for the 65TH Annual Golden Globe Awards

Official screening of the film for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association will also host esteemed guests from the film community and the world of classical music on November 11th, at the Majestic Crest Theatre (1262 Westwood Boulevard, Westwood, CA 90024) at 7:30 PM, followed by an invitation only reception at the Regency Club (10900 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90024), West Side’s Premier Private Club.

The Russian Consul General, Vladimir N. Vinokurov, based in San Francisco and the Mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio R. Villaraigosa, have been invited along with such prominent personalities such as well admired opera singer and director Placido Domingo of the Los Angeles Opera, world renowned directors like Martin Scorsese, Robert Redford, and Sydney Pollack, and celebrated directors, who like Alexander Sokurov himself, shared their talent by directing both films and opera, such as William Friedkin, Gary Marshall, Bruce Beresford and Anthony Minghella.
