"The Ugly Swans" participated in the competitive programme Midnight Madness at the film festival of the city Espoo Cine, which took place from 21-26th of August in Espoo, Finland.

In this programme also were presented following films: Santos Palace (Belgium), God"s little girl (Canada), Princess (Denmark/Germany). All screenings were held after 10 pm.

Espoo Cine 2007 Melies d"Argent winner:
Hvordan vi slipper af med de andre (How to Get Rid of the Others), directed by Anders Ronnow-Klarlund

Short film nomination for Melies d"Or:
The Blaxorcist, directed by Edward King

The festival programme includes Espoo Cine Selection, an assortment of the very best of contemporary European cinema. The festival also screens films for children and the youth, documentary films and two special programmes: the Pink Zone series of gay films and the Melies d’Argent competition of European fantasy films.
