“Best music” at Kinotavr festival-2005 in Sochi.

Andrey Siegle, a film music composer was awarded a prize in the name of Mikhail Tariverdiev for the best music in “The Remote Access” (“Udalenniy Dostup”) feature film.

The main award at the Kenotavr festival was assigned to the feature film “The Poor Kin” (“Bednie rodstvenniki”) by producer Pavel Lungin. This feature film became a winner of the entry “The Best Script”.

The reward for the best male part was assigned to Nikita Mihalkov in “The State Counsil” (“Statskiy sovetnik”) and to Konstantin Habenskiy for his part in “The Poor Kin”. At the same time it was decided not to award the prize for the best female part this year.

“The First on the Moon” (“Pervie na Lune”) by producer Aleksey Fedorchenko was considered to be the best debut of the last year. Andrey Siegle, a composer of the music in the film “The Remote Access” was awarded for the best music; “The Four” (“Chetire”) by Ilya Hrjzanovsky has received the jury’s special award.
 

”The Two” (“Dvoe”) by producer Eduard Pary became the owner of the main award in the short films entry. The award for “Creation of audience film with an expressed author’s position” was assigned to the “Podsobnoe hoziaystvo” by Yegor Anashkin.  

 

Seventeen full-length feature films and thirty three short-length films were presented at the festival. Galina Volchek was at the head of the jury of the main entry, a dramatist Ludmila Kojzinova was at the head of the jury of “The short meter” entry.
