Delicate thing1999, «Mosfilm», «Mavr (Moor)» Studio, 83 min. Adventure comedy
School teacher Julia (Alexandra Zakharova) has divorced her husband Valera ( played by an unshaved Dmitry Pevtsov who also appears to have badly strained muscles) has parted with him but nevertheless is continuing to retain quite close relations. Suddenly one evening a man breaks into Julia’s apartment, appearing to be blind drunk , but it becomes apparent that he is drunk at all, but rather badly beaten and also wounded. He leaves for hospital, and following this the real problems begin. Pasha, a senior criminal gang leader, played by «Authority» (Igor Bochkin), arrives from another town with his cronies to investigate who was bold enough to injure the mystery man (his brother). Pasha and gang move into Julia’s apartment and hold Julia captive since he suspects that she is concealing some information. Two grotesque bandit gangs operate in this town (Oleynikov plays the part of one of the gang leaders), and Pasha with Julia’s help set them on to fight one another. The plot continues with much violence, intrigue, and action, including gun-fights, and bomb attacks. Where it should be funny, it becomes terrifying, and where it should be terrifying, it becomes funny.
