«The Clown» is an animation fantasy based on «Snow-show» made by mime-artist and clown Vyatcheslav Polunin. It tells about loneliness, grief, love and death, desires and dreams, and reminds people of the briefness of existence...

Irina Evteeva – «Slava (Polunin) asked me to make film «The Clown» for him. Michael Shemyakin had shown him some of my works in New York. Slava enjoyed them and called me in St. Petersburg. I told Slava that the film would have to reflect my personal attitude towards his creative work, otherwise it would not be a film but a screen version of the play. He agreed. Within a month I took a flight to London for shooting and then started the main work. Altogether it took me more than half a year to make a 10-minute film.»
